Package 1 - Starting Out Right

Aimed at students about to begin their post-secondary journey. This package starts prior to their leaving for college or university.
Two virtual meetings per week.
Review of Psychoeducational & Attentional Assessment and meeting with accessibility personnel at the school to ensure clear communication of supports that are offered.
Starting prior to term, we work on planning for moving, needs vs. wants, packing, social concerns, time-management, and anything else that comes up in making the move to post-secondary school.
In term, we work on planning course work, reading management, social concerns, roommate issues, dealing with overwhelm, emotional issues, studying, exam planning & preparation, and any other issues that arise.
Our goal is to give the student focused support in transitioning successfully to the post-secondary environment so that, over time, they can manage on their own.
Your child can reach out to me at any time and I will respond within 24 hours on weekdays. If they have really hit a roadblock and need some redirection, one-off sessions will be made available.

We begin by delving into what went wrong, what went right and discovering how things are going to be different in the future.
Then, we work on planning course work, reading management, social concerns, roommate issues, dealing with overwhelm, emotional issues, studying, exam planning & preparation, and any other issues that arise.
Our goal is to restructure how the student has been working and living to enable them to move forward from failure and work toward success.
